Step 1: IEEE PDF eXpress

Once the final manuscript is ready to submit, authors must create a PDF file according to the IEEE PDF eXpress. All submissions MUST be IEEE Explore compliant and the only way to insure this is to use IEEE PDF eXpress. Please go to the IEEE PDF eXpress site at IEEE PDF eXpress: Login (ieee-pdf-express.org).

First-time users should do the following:

①    Select the ‘New Users – Click Here'

②    Enter the following:
    ·  54778x for the Conference ID
    ·  Your email address
    ·  A password

Continue to enter information as prompted. An Online confirmation will be displayed, and an email confirmation will be sent verifying your account setup.

Previous users of PDF eXpress or IEEE PDF eXpress Plus need to follow the above steps but should enter the same password that was used for previous conferences. Verify that your contact information is valid.

Step 2: Author Registration

One of the authors for the final manuscript is needed to complete his/her registration. Once registration with payment is completed, the submit button for the final manuscript will be activated. For more details of registration, please see the Registration page at https://icpe-conf.org/registration

Authors must agree to the Copyright Transfer via electronic submission.

Preparing a Pre-recorded video

-

ICPE 2023-ECCE Asia will be held as a face-to-face meeting, however, we recognize that some of our colleagues may not be able to travel due to COVID restrictions or other issues. To prepare for any possible circumstance, all (both oral and poster) presenters are required to submit a pre-recorded presentation, as a condition of their paper being included in ICPE 2023-ECCE Asia.

-

The running time of the presentation file should be 15 minutes or less. (Actual presentation time during the conference oral sessions will be 20 minutes and a 5-minute discussion will follow. However, for the recorded (online) version, we’d like to make it compact and efficient if possible.) The presenter of the video MUST be a co-author of the paper.

-

Inclusion of the small size of the presenter in the right bottom corner of the screen (using a camera) is recommended but not mandatory. You can update your submitted paper and/or presentation file until the deadline for final submission.

-

There are several free online tools available to create audio/video presentations. Please see the options below and feel free to choose the option that best suits your convenience. We recommend using Microsoft PowerPoint.

Microsoft Teams: Record a meeting in Teams – Office Support

Tips for making pre-recordings:

-

Use as quiet an area as possible!

-

Avoid areas that have an echo.

-

Rooms should be small.

-

Sound dampening with carpeting, curtains, and furniture.

-

Good headset with a microphone close to mouth BUT away from the direct line of mouth to reduce “pops”. Avoid using the default built-in microphone on the computer.

-

Do a test recording of a couple of minutes and review the sound and picture quality, MP4 format, and bit rate before recording the entire presentation. Adjust if needed.

-

Please be informed that the preferred format of the presentation file is MP4 format. The total file size shall not exceed over 300 MB. Please use the following naming convention: Paper_ID.mp4, where Paper_ID is your paper ID (Aspect Ratio: 16:9)

-

We believe that this strategy can be not only a contingency plan but also a more effective way of communication, especially for students. The pre-recorded videos will be made available to all registered attendees for a week after the conference. In addition to these videos, we strongly encourage all authors to present their work in person in Jeju, Korea, unless attendance is not possible due to travel restrictions.

Publication

The submitted final manuscript will be published in the USB Conference Proceedings and IEEE Xplore. If the final manuscript was not presented at the conference, it will NOT be included in IEEE Xplore.

Important

Plagiarism
Make sure that your paper is substantially different from (your) previously published work. Manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism and multiple publication using IEEE CrossCheck Portal (https://crosscheck.ieee.org). Submitting authors will be checked have they been prohibited from publishing with any or all IEEE publications using The IEEE Prohibited Authors List (PAL) Database.

For the authors who received the result of the similarity score more than 31% in extended summary, please make sure to adjust it with 30% or less in final manuscript.

For the authors who received the result of the similarity score less than 31%, please keep the same level in final manuscript.
